Fitting/Boiling Instructions (optional)
Note: Vettex Doubleguard (Model 25) is soft enough to wear without custom fitting. Players with braces can wear & use Vettex Doubleguard but should not custom fit or bite down into warm thermo rubber.
Custom Fitting Instructions (for players not wearing braces):
1. Boil water. Hold mouthguard by strap and submerge to the tips of the underside tooth buttresses for approximately 30 seconds. Do not submerge external Lip Protector.
2. Remove from boiling water and wait approximately 5 seconds. Position guard in mouth, close jaw and bite down firmly for approximately 30 seconds. Take care to bite evenly and not so hard that breathing channels collapse. Players should only need slight impressions to achieve a more custom fit.
3. Remove and place under cold water.
4. Repeat procedure if a good fit is not attained.
Dental Warranty: Model 25 (Valid only in USA and Canada)
Manufacturer warrants for one year from date of purchase, this mouthguard to be free from defects in material and workmanship which could contribute to injury of sound natural teeth when properly used in a supervised, nonprofessional, athletic contest or training session. Manufacturer's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to $3,000 but not more than $100.00 per tooth damaged. Manufacturer may deduct from its obligation any insurance collectable. Purchaser must provide: 1) writen notice of injury by any alleged defect in product within 30 days after date of injury. 2) statement by a licensed dentist that injury was treated within 20 days after date of injury. 3) statement of supervising athletic official that the Vettex mouthguard was in proper use at the time of the injury, and 4) the mouthguard and contact information.
